Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Z-008 is a preclinical-stage oncology candidate being developed by Ziphius. It is based on a proprietary self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) platform, which represents a next-generation RNA modality capable of intracellular replication to enhance and prolong the production of encoded proteins. This technology aims to achieve therapeutic efficacy at significantly lower doses than conventional mRNA therapies. Z-008 is delivered using Ziphius's in-house developed lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology. While the specific biological targets have not been disclosed, the program is intended for applications in oncology, including the development of personalized cancer vaccines and the expression of therapeutic proteins or chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) to modulate the immune response against tumors.
