Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Z-100 is an immunomodulating agent originally extracted from human tubercle bacilli. It is designed to modify the immune system's behavior and has been developed primarily by Zeria Pharmaceutical. The drug acts as an immunomodulator and has demonstrated anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic (anticancer), and antiviral properties. In Japan, it has been launched for the treatment of leucopenia (a reduction in white blood cells). It has also reached phase III clinical trials for cervical cancer in several Asian countries but was discontinued for HIV infections and rheumatoid arthritis[4][3][8].
