ZA005 is a preclinical therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by Zhongao Biomedical Technology. It utilizes a proprietary 'vaccine fusion' technology that integrates caerin peptides—bioactive molecules originally derived from the skin secretions of the Australian tree frog (*Litoria*)—with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) components and other tumor antigens. This approach is designed to enhance the immunogenicity of the vaccine by modulating the tumor microenvironment and boosting T-cell mediated immune responses. ZA005 is currently being investigated for the treatment of HPV-related cervical cancer and melanoma, aiming to provide a more effective immunotherapy option by combining the direct anti-tumor properties of caerin peptides with targeted vaccine antigens.
