Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zabimmune (also known as ZABVAX) is a vaccine enhancer being developed by IngeneOx Therapeutics for the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases. The agent is a product of the company's Z-platform, which focuses on the biology of Z-DNA and Z-RNA—left-handed helical forms of nucleic acids that serve as biological switches for the innate immune system. Zabimmune is designed to act as a potent adjuvant by leveraging these non-canonical nucleic acid structures to stimulate a robust and targeted immune response, thereby increasing the efficacy of vaccines. As of early 2023, the program is in the IND-enabling stage of development.
