The drug is designed to deliver neural tissue-specific antigens directly to thymic antigen-presenting cells (APCs). This mechanism is intended to reestablish central T cell tolerance and promote the expansion of antigen-specific regulatory T cells (Tregs). The primary therapeutic objective is to halt immune-mediated nerve damage in autoimmune neurological diseases, with the ultimate goals of providing neuroprotection and facilitating remyelination.
