zamubafusp alfa

Zamubafusp alfa (AT-02) is a clinical-stage recombinant fusion protein biologic being developed by Attralus for the treatment of systemic amyloidosis. The molecule consists of a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody genetically fused to a proprietary pan-amyloid binding peptide. It utilizes a mechanism termed "pan-amyloid removal" (PAR), where the peptide component binds to multiple types of amyloid deposits—including light chain (AL) and transthyretin (ATTR) amyloid—while the antibody's Fc region recruits the immune system to clear these deposits via phagocytosis. Zamubafusp alfa has received FDA Orphan Drug and Fast Track designations and is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for AL amyloidosis.
