Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zaspray is a 3-in-1 liposomal eye spray developed by Spectrum Thea for the relief of itchy, dry, and irritated eyes, particularly those associated with seasonal or perennial allergies. The formulation features a triple-action approach containing sodium hyaluronate, a liposomal complex (PER-LIP), and Perilla seed extract. Sodium hyaluronate acts as a lubricant and hydrating agent to soothe the ocular surface. The liposomal complex helps to restore and stabilize the lipid layer of the tear film, which reduces excessive tear evaporation. Perilla seed extract provides antioxidant properties that help to manage oxidative stress and soothe ocular irritation. Zaspray is designed for application on closed eyelids, offering a convenient alternative for patients who find traditional eye drops difficult to administer.
