Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Zavetox** is Mylin Biotech's orally administered, acid- and bile-resistant enzobiotic capsule marketed for predialysis chronic kidney disease. This nutraceutical formulation combines synbiotics with proteolytic enzymes to improve intestinal protein digestion, limit delivery of undigested protein to the colon, and support a less proteolytic gut microbial environment. Its intended therapeutic effect is to reduce production of the protein-bound uremic toxins p-cresol sulfate and indoxyl sulfate, which are associated with chronic kidney disease progression.
