Overview

ZB002 is a recombinant human monoclonal antibody that targets tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα). Its Fv domain is identical in amino acid sequence to adalimumab and it has been engineered for an extended half-life using Xtend technology. The drug is designed to inhibit TNFα activity and is being developed primarily for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. Preclinical and Phase 1 studies have shown that ZB002 achieves high levels of TNFα inhibition with a half-life of approximately 6–7 weeks, potentially allowing dosing every two months. The safety profile observed so far aligns with expectations for anti-TNF therapies[1][3][5].
