Overview

ZB005 is a human monoclonal antibody designed to specifically bind and inhibit the active form of complement protein C1s. By targeting and inhibiting C1s, ZB005 modulates the classical pathway of the complement system in the immune response. The drug is being developed for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases, leveraging inhibition of complement-mediated pathogenic processes[1][4][9]. ZB005 was initially developed by Dianthus Therapeutics and further developed and licensed for clinical studies and regional rights by Zenas BioPharma. IND-enabling studies are underway and clinical trials are ongoing in the United States and China for autoimmune indications[1][4][9]. The drug is expected to improve disease management in conditions where complement activation plays a pathogenic role.
