Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZBD0276 is an investigational small molecule autotaxin (ATX) inhibitor developed by Harbin Treasure Pharmaceutical (also known as Harbin Zhenbaodao Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Autotaxin is a secreted enzyme responsible for the production of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a lipid mediator that drives pro-fibrotic signaling, fibroblast activation, and lung tissue scarring. By inhibiting ATX, ZBD0276 aims to reduce LPA levels and slow the progression of fibrotic changes in the lungs. Classified as a Class 1 innovative chemical drug in China, ZBD0276 has completed IND-enabling studies and received clinical trial approval from the NMPA. It is administered orally in tablet form and is currently transitioning into Phase 1 clinical development to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics.
