Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZE00-0388 is an AI-designed, highly selective small-molecule inhibitor of Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Non-Receptor Type 2 (PTPN2). Developed by Mondego Bio, a Lisbon-based immuno-oncology company, the drug acts as a negative regulator of the JAK-STAT pathway, which is a critical mediator of immune regulation within the tumor microenvironment. By inhibiting PTPN2, ZE00-0388 is intended to overcome immune suppression and enhance anti-tumor responses. The candidate is being developed for the treatment of solid tumors, with plans for evaluation as both a monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors. A first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trial is scheduled to commence in the first half of 2026.
