Overview

Zedora is a biosimilar of trastuzumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to the extracellular domain of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (**HER2**). It inhibits **HER2** signaling, leading to antitumor effects including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, inhibition of tumor cell proliferation, and angiogenesis suppression. Developed by Biocon and Mylan (now Viatris), it is approved in Brazil by ANVISA for **HER2**-positive metastatic breast cancer, early-stage breast cancer, and advanced gastric cancer, providing affordable access through local commercialization by Libbs Farmacêutica.[4][6][8]
