Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zeel is a homeopathic combination remedy used for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with osteoarthritis, including mild to moderate pain, articular stiffness, and inflammation. It contains a mix of botanical, mineral, and animal-derived substances. The mechanism of action is not fully understood but is believed to involve inhibition of cartilage-destroying enzymes and stimulation of growth factors that protect cartilage. Zeel is often used as an alternative to NSAIDs and steroids for pain management. It was developed by Heel and is manufactured by Hameln Pharma GmbH, Biologische Heilmittel Heel, and MediNatura. Zeel is not FDA-approved and is considered an unapproved drug by the FDA.
