Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zeng-xiao An-shen Zhi-chan 2 (ZAZ2) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that has been evaluated for its effects on patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Clinical studies have indicated that ZAZ2 can improve activities of daily living (ADL) in parkinsonism, as well as enhance awake-sleep rhythm and improve scores on the Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) Parts II, II+III, and IV. It also positively impacts the power-law exponent α, which correlates with physical activity levels. These findings suggest ZAZ2 could be a suitable drug for long-term use in managing PD symptoms.
