Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZeniCOL is a topical wound care product developed by Focus Health Group, consisting of a 100% native, non-hydrolyzed bovine collagen dressing. It is indicated for the management of various wound types, including dry to moist wounds, burns, sores, blisters, scrapes, and chronic ulcers (such as pressure, venous, and diabetic ulcers). The dressing acts as a biological scaffold that promotes angiogenesis and the formation of granulation tissue while stimulating collagen deposition. Furthermore, it helps to modulate the wound environment by decreasing the levels of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which can otherwise stall the healing process in chronic wounds. ZeniCOL is available in multiple formats, including pads and granules for deep or tunneling wounds. A silver-containing variant, ZeniCOL Ag, is also available for wounds requiring antimicrobial protection.
