Overview

ZEP-3 is a synthetic short peptide drug developed by SIS Shulov Innovative Science for topical use. It is being investigated primarily for the treatment of herpes virus infections (notably herpes labialis) and atopic dermatitis. The drug acts as a virus replication inhibitor and has also demonstrated analgesic activity in indications such as osteoarthritis, herpes labialis, and ocular pain. As of the latest updates, it has reached phase II clinical trials for both atopic dermatitis and herpes labialis[1][2][3]. The route of administration studied includes transdermal ointment application[3].
