Zepvog

**Zepvog** is an oral fixed-dose antidiabetic combination product developed and marketed by Merlion Lifescience for glycemic control in **type 2 diabetes mellitus**. It contains voglibose and metformin hydrochloride: voglibose reversibly inhibits intestinal alpha-glucosidases, delaying carbohydrate digestion and postprandial glucose absorption, while metformin suppresses hepatic glucose production and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity, in part through activation of AMP-activated protein kinase signaling. The marketed product is a sustained-release tablet containing metformin 500 mg and voglibose 0.3 mg.
