Zeta Colest

Zeta Colest is a multi-ingredient nutraceutical food supplement developed by Erbozeta S.p.A. for the management of mild hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia in patients with low cardiovascular risk. It is a combination formulation containing natural extracts: berberine (from Berberis aristata), monacolin K (from red yeast rice), silymarin (from milk thistle), and guggulsterones (from guggul extract). The product works through multiple mechanisms: monacolin K acts as a natural HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor to reduce cholesterol synthesis, while berberine upregulates LDL receptors to enhance the clearance of LDL-C from the bloodstream. Silymarin provides hepatoprotective support, and guggulsterones assist in lipid metabolism. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing total cholesterol, LDL-C, and triglycerides.
