Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZF2022-A is a bivalent recombinant protein subunit vaccine developed by Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biologic Pharmacy Co., Ltd. for the prevention of COVID-19. The vaccine is produced using a Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell expression system and is engineered to include antigens from both the Omicron (including BA.4/5 lineages) and Delta variants of SARS-CoV-2. By incorporating spike protein components from multiple variants of concern, the vaccine aims to elicit a broader and more potent neutralizing antibody response compared to first-generation monovalent vaccines. It is primarily being evaluated as a booster dose in individuals who have previously completed a primary vaccination series with either recombinant protein or mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines.
