Overview

ZGGS34 is a trispecific T-cell engager (TriTE) antibody developed by Suzhou Zelgen Biopharmaceuticals and its subsidiary Gensun Biopharma. It is designed to target Mucin 17 (MUC17), a protein frequently overexpressed in gastrointestinal cancers, while simultaneously binding to the CD3 and CD28 receptors on T-cells. This novel biologic modality aims to provide both the primary activation signal (via CD3) and a co-stimulatory signal (via CD28) to T-cells, potentially enhancing the potency, persistence, and anti-tumor efficacy of the immune response compared to traditional bispecific antibodies. ZGGS34 is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for the treatment of MUC17-positive advanced solid tumors, including gastric, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers.
