ZHB103 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody fragment (Fab) designed to target platelet glycoprotein VI (GPVI). GPVI is a key collagen receptor on the platelet surface that mediates platelet activation and aggregation upon exposure to subendothelial collagen following vascular injury. By blocking the interaction between collagen and GPVI, ZHB103 inhibits thrombus formation while potentially maintaining normal hemostasis, thereby reducing the risk of intracranial hemorrhage compared to conventional antiplatelet agents. Developed by Jiangsu Zhonghong Bioengineering Pharmaceutical Research Institute, ZHB103 is currently being investigated for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA).
