ZHB110

ZHB110 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets immunoglobulin E (IgE), developed by Jiangsu Zhonghong Bioengineering Pharmaceutical Research Institute. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. ZHB110 functions by binding to free IgE in the blood and interstitial fluid, which prevents IgE from attaching to the high-affinity IgE receptor (FcεRI) on the surface of mast cells and basophils. By inhibiting this interaction, the drug prevents the cross-linking of IgE-receptor complexes and the subsequent release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and leukotrienes, which are responsible for allergic symptoms. ZHB110 is developed as a biosimilar candidate to omalizumab and is currently undergoing Phase 3 clinical trials in China.
