ZHB117

ZHB117 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting immunoglobulin E (IgE), developed by Jiangsu Zhonghong Biopharmaceutical Research and Development Institute. It functions by binding to the Cε3 domain of free IgE, thereby preventing the interaction between IgE and its high-affinity receptor (FcεRI) on the surface of mast cells and basophils. This inhibition prevents the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and leukotrienes, which are responsible for the symptoms of allergic diseases. ZHB117 is primarily being developed for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and allergic asthma, with clinical trials currently in Phase 3 for allergic rhinitis in China.
