Overview
Zhenbing Koukuining is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical solution developed by Wuhan Junan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU) and other inflammatory conditions of the oral mucosa. The formulation is primarily composed of Borneol (Bingpian) and Pearl (Zhenzhu), along with Borax. Borneol acts as a potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent, likely through the modulation of TRPA1 channels and GABAA receptors, while Pearl is traditionally included to facilitate tissue repair and mucosal regeneration. Borax provides additional antiseptic properties. Administered as a spray or liquid directly to the ulcerated area, Zhenbing Koukuining effectively reduces pain, limits the inflammatory response, and accelerates the healing process of oral lesions.
