Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zhi Shang Feng Ke Li is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation primarily used for the treatment of the common cold, specifically the "wind-cold" type. It is a modern preparation based on the classical prescription *Jing Fang Bai Du San*. The medication functions by inducing diaphoresis to expel external pathogens, dispersing cold, and ventilating the lungs to alleviate cough and respiratory congestion. It is widely manufactured in China as an over-the-counter (OTC) medication indicated for symptoms such as fever, chills, lack of sweating, headache, nasal congestion, and body aches associated with the early stages of a cold. The formulation consists of a complex mixture of twelve medicinal herbs, including *Schizonepeta tenuifolia* and *Saposhnikovia divaricata*, which provide synergistic anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
