Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zhibo Dihuang Pills (知柏地黄丸) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical. It is an extension of the classic Liuwei Dihuang formulation, enhanced with the addition of Anemarrhena (Zhimu) and Phellodendron bark (Huangbai). This oral medication is primarily used to "nourish yin and reduce fire" (滋阴降火). It is indicated for symptoms associated with yin deficiency and internal heat, such as tidal fever, night sweats, dry mouth, sore throat, tinnitus, and seminal emission. The formulation works through the synergistic effects of its eight herbal components: Rehmannia root, Cornus fruit, Chinese yam, Poria, Alisma, Moutan bark, Anemarrhena, and Phellodendron bark. Modern research suggests the formulation may possess immunomodulatory and endocrine-regulating properties.
