Zhijing San is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation that contains scorpion (scorpio) as a primary ingredient. It is used in TCM for the treatment of various conditions, including acute and chronic infantile convulsions, migraine and general headache, arthralgia, tetanus, hypertension, toothache, arteriosclerosis, subcutaneous ulcers from chronic disease, burns and scalds, cancer-related symptoms, rheumatism paralysis, child convulsion disorders, tuberculosis-related complications in children ("horse tuberculosis"), gonorrhea treatment support during drug rehabilitation efforts. The mechanism of action is not well characterized by modern pharmacology but is based on TCM principles; it may involve neuroactive or anti-inflammatory effects attributed to scorpion venom components[5].
