Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zhiyang Pingfu Decoction (also known as Zhiyang Pingfu Liquid) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the China-Japan Friendship Hospital. It is formulated as a topical preparation (such as a liquid, mask, or essence) primarily used to treat skin rash and drug-related skin pruritus associated with epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor (EGFRI) therapy in cancer patients. The decoction consists of four main Chinese herbal medicines: *Radix Sophorae Flavescentis* (Kushen), *Scutellaria baicalensis* Georgi (Huangqin), *Herba Portulacae* (Machixian), and *Cortex Dictamni* (Baixianpi). It works by reducing skin lesions, inflammation, and neuroimmune biomarkers associated with targeted therapy-induced cutaneous toxicities.
