Overview
Zhuifeng Tougu capsules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation approved in China for the treatment of joint diseases, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Composed of 24 traditional Chinese medicinal herbs (such as Monkshood, Radix Aconiti kusnezoffii, Rhizoma Cyperi, Ligusticum wallichii, and Herba Ephedrae), it is traditionally used to dispel wind, remove dampness, dredge meridians, and relieve pain. Pharmacological studies indicate that Zhuifeng Tougu capsules exert anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective effects by inhibiting the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α.
