Overview
Zhulong Huoxuetongyu granules (also referred to as Zhilong Huoxuetongyu granules) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Southwest Medical University. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke characterized by the TCM syndrome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis. The formulation is designed to invigorate blood circulation and resolve blood stasis (Huoxue Tongyu), utilizing active components from ingredients such as Leech (Shuizhi) and Earthworm (Dilong). The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China to assess its efficacy and safety as an adjunctive therapy to standard basic treatment for patients with cerebral infarction.
