Zi-long-jin tablets

Zi-long-jin tablets (also known as Zilongjin) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound preparation approved in China as an adjuvant anti-tumor therapy. It is formulated from eight Chinese herbs: Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Herba Solani Lyrati (Shuyangquan), Herba Solani Nigri (Longkui), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen), Scutellariae Barbatae Herba (Banzhilian), Duchesnea indica (Shemei), and Curcumae Radix (Yujin). Zi-long-jin tablets are primarily used to treat primary lung cancer, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in patients with a TCM pattern of qi and blood deficiency. The formula works by regulating the cell cycle (inhibiting Cyclin D and CDK4/6, while activating p15 and p16), inducing apoptosis, blocking DNA synthesis, and modulating immune function (activating NK cells, T lymphocytes, and phagocytic cells). It is also used to reduce the toxic side effects of chemotherapy, such as myelosuppression and gastrointestinal toxicity.
