Overview
Zi-Shen-Gu-Sui Decoction (ZSGSD) is a traditional Chinese medicinal (TCM) formula clinically applied in the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC) and for postoperative rehabilitation. Pharmacological and experimental evidence suggests that ZSGSD exerts anti-tumor efficacy by inhibiting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling axis, a pathway frequently dysregulated in various malignancies that promotes cell growth, proliferation, and survival. By modulating this pathway, the decoction suppresses tumor progression and may improve survival outcomes in advanced stages of the disease. As a multi-component herbal preparation, it is typically administered orally as a liquid decoction.
