Zicam Allergy Relief is a homeopathic, over-the-counter (OTC) intranasal spray formulated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and hay fever, including sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and nasal congestion. The product was originally developed by Matrixx Initiatives and is currently marketed by Church & Dwight. It contains a combination of four active ingredients in highly diluted homeopathic preparations: *Galphimia glauca*, *Histaminum hydrochloricum* (histamine dihydrochloride), *Luffa operculata*, and *Sulphur*. As a homeopathic remedy, it is designed to be non-drowsy and non-habit-forming, operating on the principle of 'like cures like.' However, it has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy, and the agency has noted a lack of scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of homeopathic treatments.
