Overview

ZiCui Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula that has been historically used for over two centuries in China to treat diabetes mellitus and its complications, specifically diabetic nephropathy (DKD). Clinical research indicates that it may alleviate DKD by inhibiting inflammation, regulating autophagy, and exerting anti-fibrotic effects. It has also been shown to ameliorate gut microbiota dysbiosis. Its therapeutic actions are thought to involve the modulation of several key signaling pathways, including PI3K-Akt, MAPK, Ras, and VEGF.
