Overview
Zihuan Hemorrhoid Suppository and Zihuan Hemorrhoid Ointment are Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products developed by Dalian Tianyu Pharmaceutical and manufactured by its subsidiary, Qingdao Tianyu Pharmaceutical. These products are specifically formulated for the treatment of hemorrhoids and related anal conditions. The active ingredients include Sanguisorbae Radix (Di Yu), Calamina (Lu Gan Shi), and Borneolum Syntheticum (Bing Pian). Sanguisorbae Radix provides hemostatic and anti-inflammatory properties by cooling the blood; Calamina acts as an astringent and antiseptic to protect the rectal mucosa and reduce swelling; and Borneolum Syntheticum offers rapid analgesic and anti-pruritic effects through its action on sensory receptors. These formulations are indicated for internal and external hemorrhoids, anal swelling, and rectal bleeding. They are approved as over-the-counter (OTC) medications in China and are administered rectally or topically.
