Manufactured by Blairex Laboratories, the product line features two primary active ingredients depending on the specific formulation: Zilactin Early Relief Cold Sore contains 10% benzyl alcohol, while Zilactin-B contains benzocaine. Both ingredients function as local anesthetics by inhibiting sodium channels in nerve membranes, thereby blocking the conduction of pain signals.
