Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zincoferol is a combination nutraceutical product developed by NutriMed Group, primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of zinc and vitamin D3 deficiencies. It contains zinc in the form of zinc glycinate, which offers superior bioavailability compared to inorganic salts, and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). Zinc serves as a critical cofactor for over 300 enzymes and plays a vital role in DNA synthesis, immune cell proliferation, and antioxidant defense. Vitamin D3 acts as a steroid hormone precursor that binds to the vitamin D receptor (VDR), regulating gene expression related to calcium homeostasis and immune modulation. Together, these components are used to support immune resilience, particularly against respiratory infections, and maintain bone and metabolic health.
