Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zinutrik (AKP02) is a nutraceutical product developed by Damor Farmaceutici and its subsidiary Akademy Pharma for the management of hyperuricemia. The formulation consists of a standardized mixture of natural active ingredients, including kaempferol (extracted from *Ginkgo biloba* leaves), baicalin (derived from *Scutellaria baicalensis* root), chlorogenic acid (from green coffee seeds), and rutin. These components work synergistically to inhibit xanthine oxidase, the enzyme responsible for the final steps of uric acid synthesis, thereby reducing serum uric acid levels. Additionally, the product provides antioxidant effects to mitigate oxidative stress associated with high uric acid. It is marketed as a gluten-free dietary supplement in tablet form, with a 'Plus' version available that includes folic acid.
