Zirconium-89 crefmirlimab berdoxam is an investigational radiopharmaceutical imaging agent used in positron emission tomography (PET) scans. It consists of a monoclonal antibody fragment (crefmirlimab) that specifically binds to the CD8 antigen on T cells, conjugated with the radioisotope zirconium-89. This allows for non-invasive visualization and quantification of CD8+ T cell distribution and activity in vivo using PET imaging. The agent is primarily being developed to assess immune responses in cancer patients, particularly those undergoing immunotherapy, as well as to monitor inflammation in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and giant cell arteritis. By targeting CD8+ T cells, it enables clinicians to evaluate tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and predict or monitor therapeutic efficacy[1][2][5][7].
