Zishenyin Granules (滋肾阴颗粒) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM) in collaboration with Chengji (Zhuhai Hengqin) Pharmaceutical Technology. Formulated as oral granules, the drug is specifically designed for the treatment of osteoporosis characterized by the "Kidney-yin deficiency" (Shen-Yin deficiency) syndrome type. In TCM theory, the kidney is closely linked to bone health, and nourishing kidney yin is a standard approach to addressing bone loss and improving bone metabolism. The project is part of the Shanghai TCM Science and Technology Innovation Project and is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
