Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zishui Qinggan Lichong Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily for gynecological and endocrine disorders, particularly in women with perimenopausal syndrome and ovarian dysfunction. It is a multi-herb decoction formulated according to TCM principles, aiming to nourish yin, clear the liver, and resolve blood stasis. Clinical studies suggest it may improve ovarian function in perimenopausal women[1]. The mechanism of action is believed to involve modulation of hormonal levels (such as estradiol, progesterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone), inhibition of micro-angiogenesis by downregulating hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), as well as anti-inflammatory effects[3]. The decoction may also have neuroprotective effects via regulation of synaptic plasticity and mitochondrial function through PGC-1α signaling pathways[4].
