Zishui Qinggan Lichong Yin (滋水清肝理冲饮) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula. It is a modification of the classic formula Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (六味地黄丸), augmented with additional herbs to specifically address conditions characterized by kidney-yin deficiency and liver-qi stagnation that has transformed into heat. Its primary therapeutic actions, according to TCM principles, are to nourish Yin and blood, clear heat, and soothe the liver. This formula is traditionally used to treat a range of symptoms and conditions, including menopausal syndrome, chronic hepatitis, neurosis, male infertility, hypertension, insomnia, dizziness, tinnitus, lumbar and knee soreness, dry mouth, constipation, irritability, and atrophy (Wei syndrome) due to liver and kidney deficiency. The 'Lichong' (理冲) in its name may specifically refer to its action of regulating the Chong meridian, which is significant in gynecological and fertility-related conditions.
