Ziyin Yangshen decoction granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is designed to treat heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) by applying the TCM principles of nourishing Yin and tonifying the kidney (or tranquilizing the spirit). The drug is currently being evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter Phase 1 clinical trial in China. In this study, it is administered alongside standard therapy to assess its efficacy in improving 180-day cardiovascular outcomes and symptoms, as well as its impact on multi-omics biomarkers in patients with HFpEF.
