Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ziyinxiehuo is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Children's Hospital of Fudan University for the treatment of idiopathic precocious puberty (IPP) in children, particularly girls. Based on the TCM principle of "nourishing Yin and purging fire" (Ziyin Xiehuo), the formula aims to address the underlying pattern of Yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity, which is believed to contribute to the premature activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. It is typically administered as granules and has been studied both as a monotherapy and in combination with acupuncture to slow bone age progression and regulate hormone levels.
