Overview

ZL-1102 is an investigational, novel human VH antibody fragment (Humabody) that targets the interleukin 17A (IL-17A) cytokine. It is formulated as a hydrogel for topical application and is being developed primarily for the treatment of mild to moderate chronic plaque psoriasis. The drug works by inhibiting IL-17A locally in psoriatic lesions, aiming to reduce inflammation and improve skin symptoms without significant systemic exposure or immunosuppression risks associated with systemic IL-17 inhibitors. ZL-1102 was originally developed by Crescendo Biologics and is now being advanced by Zai Lab under an exclusive worldwide license[1][2][3][5][6][7].
