ZL-45 is a small molecule modulator targeting the SH2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 73 kDa (SLP73), currently under development by Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology. SLP73 is an adapter protein essential for the T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling pathway, playing a critical role in the activation, proliferation, and cytokine production of T-cells. By inhibiting or modulating SLP73, ZL-45 is designed to suppress the aberrant immune responses associated with autoimmune conditions. Its primary therapeutic focus is Multiple Sclerosis (MS), where it aims to reduce neuroinflammation and the immune-mediated destruction of the myelin sheath.
