ZL-49 is a small-molecule inhibitor of Receptor-Interacting Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase 2 (RIPK2), currently under development by Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology. RIPK2 is a critical signaling protein that mediates the inflammatory response triggered by the activation of NOD1 and NOD2 receptors. By blocking RIPK2 activity, ZL-49 aims to reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, providing a targeted therapeutic approach for the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and other inflammatory disorders.
