Overview

ZL-85FA is a small molecule PARP1 (Poly (ADP-Ribose) polymerase 1) inhibitor currently being developed by Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology. The drug is designed to treat advanced solid tumors by targeting the DNA repair enzyme PARP1, which induces synthetic lethality in cancer cells, particularly those with homologous recombination deficiencies such as BRCA mutations. ZL-85FA is administered orally and is undergoing Phase I/IIa clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with various malignancies, including breast, ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal, and prostate cancers. By selectively inhibiting PARP1, the drug aims to provide a targeted therapeutic option with potentially improved safety profiles compared to first-generation PARP inhibitors.
