Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZL0104 (also known as HT448) is a DOTA-conjugated bicyclic peptide precursor designed to target the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR). When radiolabeled with gallium-68 to form [68Ga]Ga-ZL0104, it serves as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer. Developed by researchers at ShanghaiTech University, this radiotracer is designed for the early detection and monitoring of pulmonary fibrosis, such as bleomycin-induced and radiation-induced pulmonary fibrosis. uPAR is highly upregulated during tissue remodeling and inflammatory responses associated with fibrosis, making it a sensitive biomarker. Preclinical studies demonstrate that [68Ga]Ga-ZL0104 can detect early molecular changes in pulmonary fibrosis before morphological alterations become visible on high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT).
